6 ft Green Cat6 UTP Patch Cable

This 6 ft Category 6 patch cable connects two RJ-45 network ports with unshielded twisted-pair copper conductors. The green PVC jacket and snagless bubble boots protect the connectors during routing and removal. It is suited for home offices, small business networks and temporary links between switches, routers and endpoints.

Who it suits and who should look elsewhere

Buyers needing a short green Cat6 link for gigabit Ethernet will find this cable fits the purpose. Installers requiring shielded cable, plenum-rated jacket, longer runs or a different colour should select another product.

Category 6 UTP specification

The cable meets Category 6 performance using unshielded twisted-pair construction terminated with RJ-45 male connectors on both ends. This single specification determines whether the cable matches the required network standard.

Questions about this item

Will the RJ-45 connectors or the PVC jacket need replacing over time?

The snagless bubble boots protect the connector tabs from breaking during repeated insertion, and the PVC jacket resists typical office wear; no scheduled replacement is required.

What performance limit appears first when the cable runs at full Gigabit throughput continuously?

Category 6 UTP copper is rated for 1 Gbps at this length, so the link speed of the connected ports becomes the bottleneck before the cable does.

Does the cable generate noticeable heat or draw extra power during all-day operation?

As a passive copper patch cable it consumes no power and produces no measurable heat, regardless of how long data flows through it.
