AddOn 35ft HDMI 1.3 Cable

This 35 foot HDMI 1.3 cable connects HDMI-enabled devices with male-to-male terminals. It suits installers running a single long link between a display and a source such as a Blu-ray or DVD player. The black jacket and durable construction support fixed installations where a reliable point-to-point connection is required.

HDMI 1.3 specification

The cable is built to the HDMI 1.3 interface standard with 1 x HDMI 1.3 connectors at each end. This version determines the maximum signalling capability of the link, so the cable is the right part only when both devices operate within the HDMI 1.3 feature set.

1080p at 120Hz headroom

It supports full 1080p resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate, giving comfortable headroom for standard high-definition playback. The 35 foot length works for typical room-scale runs, but longer distances or higher-resolution formats such as 4K will exceed the bandwidth this specification provides.

Questions about this item

What does the 120 Hz refresh rate mean when I plug this cable into my 1080p display?

It allows the cable to carry a 1080p signal at up to 120 frames per second, so fast motion on a compatible screen stays smooth without dropping frames.

How does the HDMI 1.3 interface limit what I can send over this 35 ft run?

HDMI 1.3 caps the link at 1080p resolution and 120 Hz refresh; higher resolutions such as 4K or newer HDR formats are not supported by this standard.

What do the two male connectors require for a secure fit?

Each end is a standard HDMI 1.3 male plug, so you need a female HDMI port on both the source and the display with enough clearance for the connector body.
