Classroom Document Camera

The Adesso CyberTrack 820 is an 8.0 megapixel document camera built for teachers and presenters who need to capture books, papers or 3D objects in real time. Its fixed-focus, down-facing lens connects through a single USB 2.0 port and works with Windows systems from 2000 through 10. The included Adesso Document Studio Plus software adds OCR text recognition for editable output.

Sustained Capture Sessions

Continuous video recording and repetitive photo capture run without the overheating or throttle cycles that affect handheld webcams during long lessons. The CMOS sensor maintains consistent frame quality across extended demonstrations, tutorials or conference calls. Fixed focus removes the hunting delay that interrupts flow when switching between flat pages and thicker volumes.

Fold-Flat Portability

Operating dimensions of 10.24 by 3.15 by 7.87 inches collapse to 10.24 by 3.15 by 3.15 inches for storage, and the unit weighs 1.87 lbs. A soft position pad stabilises the base on uneven desks while the single USB cable carries both power and data. Buyers needing wireless streaming or battery operation will not find those features here.

Questions about this item

Does the 8.0 megapixel sensor generate noticeable heat when scanning continuously for hours?

The scanner draws power from the USB 2.0 port and uses a low-heat CMOS sensor, so it stays cool during extended classroom or office sessions.

What computer port and operating system are required to run the included Document Studio Plus software?

A USB 2.0 port and Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista or 2000 with an Intel-based processor are needed for the software to operate.

Can the fixed-focus lens capture A3 pages alongside older A4 documents without manual refocusing?

Yes, the fixed-focus down-facing lens covers the full A3 area, so both A3 and smaller A4 originals are captured sharply without adjustment.
