OMSI 2 Metropole Ruhr DLC

This downloadable add-on expands the OMSI 2 bus simulator with a detailed recreation of Germany's Ruhr metropolitan area. It is designed for players who already own the base game on Steam and want a significantly larger map to explore. The product delivers an online Steam code for immediate activation.

15 cities and 50 bus lines

The add-on introduces fifteen distinct Ruhr cities connected by over fifty bus routes, including express and night services. More than 800 serviceable bus stops and real timetable data create authentic scheduled operations across the expanded network. Over 2,000 custom buildings and objects populate the scenery for visual variety.

Steam activation on Windows 7, 8, 10

A Steam account and the base game version 2.2.032 are mandatory to play this DLC. The download requires approximately 8 GB of free disk space and a DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics card with 1 GB VRAM. Activation is blocked in several listed countries, so buyers in those regions cannot redeem the code.

Questions about this item

Will the 8 GB download need extra space for patches or saved games later?

The installer needs roughly 8 GB free disk space; Steam will allocate additional room for updates and your own save files as they grow.

My CPU meets the 3 GHz dual-core minimum — what performance limit appears first on the 800 km map with 2 000 custom objects?

The 1 GB VRAM ceiling on DirectX 9.0c hardware is reached before the processor, so texture detail and draw distance must be lowered in dense city sections.

How loud and hot does a typical laptop get when running the 15 Ruhr cities scenario all day?

Continuous load on a dual-core 3 GHz chip with 1 GB VRAM keeps GPU fans spinning at medium speed; expect warm keyboard areas but no thermal throttling in normal room temperatures.
