Add-On E-Bus Hamburg DLC

This downloadable add-on brings the Mercedes-Benz eCitaro battery electric bus to OMSI 2. It is built for simulation enthusiasts who want to operate modern Hamburg public transport. The content requires the base game OMSI 2: Steam Edition and a Steam account for activation. Buyers without the base game cannot use this product.

Sustained simulation behaviour

The vehicle implementation draws on original HOCHBAHN training documents and regular service experience. All auxiliary systems including compressor, air-conditioning and power steering are electrically operated, which affects driving behaviour and sound over long sessions. Forty-four new sound files complement the existing audio environment. The high-voltage electrical system features are modelled for realistic operation.

Installation and common issues

Activation is handled through Steam using the supplied online game code. The product is region-locked and cannot be activated in several listed countries. A Steam account and the base game must already be present on the PC. The most frequent problem is attempting redemption from a blocked region or without owning OMSI 2: Steam Edition.

Questions about this item

Will the 44 new electric-drive sounds increase fan noise or heat output on my PC?

No, the 44 additional sounds are audio assets only and do not change the hardware load of OMSI 2.

What must I already own to activate and play this DLC?

You need a Steam account and the base game OMSI 2: Steam Edition installed on the same PC.

Can I run this eCitaro add-on alongside the older Hamburg Buses DLC on the same installation?

Yes, both add-ons work together in OMSI 2 and the eCitaro includes its own passenger displays and PVS ticket system.
