The Alarmpore ALA-12V3.5A converts AC input from 100 to 240 volts at 50 or 60 hertz into a regulated DC 12 volt output rated at 3.5 amps and 42 watts maximum. It terminates in a 5.5 by 2.5 millimetre barrel connector that also accepts 2.1 millimetre centre pins. The unit is supplied new in black with a 140 centimetre cable.
Who it suits and who it does not
This adapter suits devices that require exactly 12 volts DC at up to 3.5 amps and use the stated barrel jack polarity of centre positive. It will not suit equipment that needs higher current such as 5 amp or 10 amp loads, nor gear that requires 24 volt input, different connector dimensions, or waterproof construction for outdoor use.
