Caster Wheel 8 in 900 lb Polyurethane

The ZORO SELECT 26Y437 is a rigid caster wheel built for wheelbarrows and carts. It uses a polyurethane tread on a plastic core to support heavy loads across hard surfaces. The wheel measures eight inches in diameter and two inches wide. A roller bearing fits axle sizes of one-half or three-quarter inch with an included spanner bushing.

Builders moving heavy loads on flat ground

This wheel suits equipment rated between 300 and 999 pounds where a single 900 pound capacity meets the requirement. It is not for buyers who need non-marking treads on finished floors. It is not for applications requiring a swivel mechanism or a brake. It is not for users who must avoid Proposition 65 listed chemicals.

98 Shore A firm polyurethane tread

The tread hardness is rated at 98 Shore A for firm rolling resistance under maximum load. The hub length is two and seven-sixteenths inches. Standard tread shape distributes weight evenly across the contact patch. California Proposition 65 warnings apply for cancer and reproductive harm.

Questions about this item

Does the 8 in caster wheel arrive with the spanner bushing already fitted or must I purchase it separately?

The wheel ships with the spanner bushing included so no extra purchase is required for installation.

How do I decide between the 1/2 in and 3/4 in axle options on the 900 lb wheel?

Measure your existing axle diameter; choose the 1/2 in bushing if the axle is 1/2 in and the 3/4 in bushing if it is 3/4 in.

What does the 98 Shore A rating tell me about how the polyurethane tread behaves under a 900 lb load?

The 98 Shore A hardness means the tread stays firm, resists flattening and rolls easily even when the wheel carries its full 900 lb capacity.
