Industrial Caster Wheel

The Albion Inc. ZORO SELECT 26Y439 is a 5 in. cast iron caster wheel rated for 1300 lb load capacity. It suits heavy-duty wheelbarrows, platform trucks and material-handling carts that need a durable rolling surface. The wheel fits a 1/2 in. axle and includes a spanner bushing for secure mounting.

Sustained Load Behaviour

The iron tread carries a 145 BHN hardness rating, so it resists flattening when the cart sits fully loaded for long periods. Roller bearings keep rolling resistance low even under the maximum 1300 lb rating. The extra-hard tread maintains shape on rough concrete or gravel without developing flat spots that increase push force.

Thermals Noise and Power

Cast iron construction generates no heat of its own and runs silently because there are no motorised components. Rolling noise stays low on smooth floors and rises only on coarse surfaces. The non-marking tread prevents floor staining while the sealed roller bearing requires no lubrication during normal service.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 5 in. cast-iron wheel generate when rolling under its 1300 lb load rating all day?

The solid iron tread and roller bearing produce minimal friction heat under normal loads; the wheel runs cool during continuous use.

What axle size must my cart already have for the 1/2 in. axle hole and included spanner bushing to fit?

Your cart needs a 1/2 in. diameter axle; the supplied spanner bushing adapts the hub to that exact size.

Will the 2 7/16 in. hub length and extra-hard 145 BHN iron tread work with the steel frame on my older wheelbarrow?

Yes, the hub length matches common wheelbarrow forks and the hard iron tread resists wear on rough surfaces without damaging the frame.
