Ambir DS340-AS duplex ADF flatbed scanner

The Ambir DS340-AS is a flatbed scanner equipped with a duplex automatic document feeder. It captures both sides of a page in a single pass for efficient digitisation. The flatbed surface also accommodates bound or fragile originals that cannot pass through the feeder. This device suits offices and home users who need versatile document capture.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

It suits users who need a flatbed with duplex ADF scanning for mixed media types. Buyers who require higher daily volumes or faster throughput than 340 may find the speed limiting. Those needing network connectivity or wireless operation should consider other models. Users only scanning single-sided sheets might prefer a simpler device.

Questions about this item

What physical space does the DS340-AS need on a desk?

The DS340-AS is a flatbed scanner with an automatic document feeder; allow room for the lid to open fully and for paper to pass through the ADF path.

How is the DS340-AS installed, and what step do people often miss?

Connect the scanner via its supplied USB cable, install the Ambir driver package before plugging it in, then run the calibration sheet through the ADF — skipping calibration causes skewed duplex scans.
