Professional document capture

The Ambir DS940GTAS is a flatbed scanner built for high-volume office environments. It processes up to 40 pages per minute with an 80-sheet automatic document feeder. The unit handles double-sided scans and insurance or ID cards in a single pass. Rated for 6000 pages daily, it suits departments with continuous scanning demands.

Host system requirements

Verify that your workstation provides a USB connection and runs a supported operating system for the included TWAIN driver. Ensure sufficient storage space for the scanned output and confirm that your document management software accepts TWAIN sources. The scanner draws power from the host, so an available port is necessary.

Bundled software impact

AmbirScan ADF-gt supplies nine pre-assigned profile buttons on the device for one-touch job selection. Users can customise existing profiles or create new ones to match specific workflows. The driver enables automatic file naming and direct scanning into Microsoft applications. This reduces manual steps for repetitive capture tasks.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box with the DS940GTAS, and do I need to buy a TWAIN driver separately?

The scanner ships with a TWAIN driver included, so no separate driver purchase is needed.

How do I decide between the 40 ppm speed and the 80-sheet ADF capacity when choosing this model?

The 40 ppm rate measures how fast pages move through, while the 80-sheet ADF sets the maximum batch you can load at once; both figures apply to the same DS940GTAS unit.

What does the 6000 pages per day duty cycle mean for everyday use of the nScan 940gt?

It indicates the scanner is built to handle up to 6000 scans daily without exceeding its design limits.
