4K 8MP AI Turret Camera

The AMLINK AL8M-T8198EW captures 4K video at 20fps with an 8MP sensor and a 132.5° field of view. AI-powered detection identifies humans, faces and vehicles while filtering irrelevant events. The F1.6 aperture and 1/2.7" sensor support full-colour night vision up to 100ft using white LEDs, switching to IR when needed. An IP67-rated metal housing makes it suitable for indoor or outdoor installation.

PoE Power and Flexible Storage

Power over Ethernet delivers data and power through a single cable, requiring a PoE injector or switch that is not included. H.265 and H.264 compression reduce bandwidth and storage demands. Footage can be recorded to a MicroSD card up to 256GB, a PC, a compatible NVR or the AMLINK Cloud service. Two-way audio is provided by a built-in microphone and speaker for real-time communication.

Sustained Operation and Compliance

The camera is designed for continuous surveillance with secure, NDAA-compliant firmware that receives regular updates. Dual illumination maintains consistent image quality during extended low-light periods without overheating the LEDs. Efficient video encoding keeps storage growth predictable over weeks of recording. Remote access via the AMLINK Pro App, Surveillance Pro software, Blue Iris or major browsers remains stable during long-term deployments.

Questions about this item

How far does the colour night vision reach before it switches to infrared?

The white LED illumination provides full-colour video up to 100 ft, after which the infrared LEDs take over for monochrome viewing.

Does the camera run warm or become noisy when recording continuously outdoors?

The IP67-rated metal turret has no moving parts or fan, so it operates silently and its temperature stays within normal limits for a sealed outdoor housing.

What separate network equipment must I already have to power the camera over Ethernet?

A PoE injector or PoE switch is required to supply power and data over the single Ethernet cable; neither is included.
