Questions about this item

How often will the pre-installed 2TB hard drive need replacing?

The NVR has one SATA bay supporting up to 6TB; the 2TB drive can stay until it fails or you need more space.

What limits continuous 6MP recording across all eight channels?

Incoming bandwidth caps at 60M, so eight 6MP streams may exceed that limit before storage fills.

How much heat and power does the unit add when running 24/7 with cameras attached?

The recorder itself draws 10W without drives or PoE; each PoE port can supply up to 25.5W, and it operates from -10 °C to 55 °C.
