  • 4K at 144 Hz for ultra-smooth gaming at long range
  • 4 Gbps bandwidth supports DP 1.4 performance
  • Gold-plated connectors resist corrosion for lasting reliability
  • TPE jacket withstands wear during in-wall installation

164 ft Fiber-Optic DisplayPort Cable

This fiber-optic DisplayPort 1.4 cable spans 164 ft while delivering 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 144 Hz. It is aimed at installers who need long-distance video runs without signal loss. The cable carries up to 32.4 Gbps and remains backward compatible with DP 1.2 sources and 2K or 1080p displays.

Installation Direction and Handling

Each end is marked Source or Display; the cable works only when the Source plug goes to the GPU or media player and the Display plug goes to the monitor. The TPE jacket resists wear during pulls, but the optical cores must not be kinked or bent sharply. Gold-plated connectors resist corrosion in permanent in-wall runs.

8K@60 Hz and 4K@144 Hz Headroom

The link handles 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 144 Hz with full 32.4 Gbps bandwidth, plus 3D formats and lower resolutions such as 2K and 1080p. It cannot exceed the DP 1.4 specification, so 8K at higher refresh rates or uncompressed 10-bit 4K above 144 Hz are beyond its capacity.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the cable is passing 8K at 60 Hz after I connect it?

What comes in the box and what must I purchase separately?

The package includes the fiber-optic DisplayPort 1.4 cable with 24 K gold-plated connectors and a TPE jacket; no extra adapters or power supplies are required.

Should I choose the 164 ft version or a shorter length for my install?

Select the 164 ft model when the source and display are up to 50 m apart; for shorter runs a 16 ft cable is also available.
