42U Server Rack Cabinet

The APC AR3150SP NetShelter SX is a 42U server rack cabinet designed to house 19-inch rackmount equipment. It measures 78.4 inches high, 29.5 inches wide, and 42.1 inches deep, weighing 343.83 lb. The unit arrives new with shock packaging and includes pre-installed casters, leveling feet, baying hardware, and keyed-alike doors and side panels.

Suited For And Not Suited For

This cabinet suits installations requiring a full-height 42U enclosure with integrated mobility and physical security via keyed-alike locks. It is not suited for wall-mount applications despite the supplier type label, as the dimensions and weight indicate a floor-standing form factor. Buyers needing a compact or lightweight enclosure should consider smaller form factors.

42U Capacity And 19-Inch Mounting

The decisive specification is the 42U internal capacity combined with standard 19-inch mounting width. This determines the quantity and type of rackmount servers, switches, or storage arrays the cabinet can accommodate. Verify that your equipment depth fits within the 42.1-inch overall depth allowance.
