Desktop battery backup for home offices
The APC BE900G3 delivers 900 VA and 540 W of battery-backed power through eight NEMA 5-15R outlets. It accepts 120 VAC at 50 or 60 Hz and maintains 120 V AC output during outages. The unit mounts on a floor or wall and uses a replaceable lead-acid battery.
Handles a router, modem and single workstation
With 540 W available, the UPS comfortably runs a typical desktop PC, monitor and networking gear for short outages. Heavier loads such as gaming PCs with discrete graphics or multi-drive NAS units will exceed the rated capacity and shorten runtime. The 490 J surge rating absorbs common line spikes but does not protect against major lightning events.
USB-A and USB-C ports enable managed shutdown
Two USB ports connect the UPS to a computer for automatic shutdown software without extra cables. The replaceable battery extends service life beyond the typical three-to-five-year cycle. An eight-hour recharge restores full capacity after a discharge event.

Questions about this item
Will the BE900G3 protect my older desktop and monitor that draw 120 V through standard NEMA 5-15R plugs?
Yes, the unit provides eight NEMA 5-15R outlets at 120 V AC, so any legacy 120 V equipment using that plug will receive battery-backed power and surge protection.
How can I confirm the UPS is charging and supplying backup power once I connect it?
The front-panel status LEDs show on-line, on-battery and replace-battery states, and the USB Type-A and Type-C ports let monitoring software report real-time load, battery level and runtime.
Does the BE900G3 ship with the USB cables needed for the Type-A and Type-C management ports?
The box includes the UPS unit, a user manual and a USB Type-A cable; a USB Type-C cable is not supplied and must be purchased separately if you plan to use that port.
