Smart-UPS SRT 5000VA 230V

The APC Smart-UPS SRT 5000VA 230V is a new on-line double-conversion UPS designed for harsh power environments. It delivers true double-conversion power protection for servers, voice and data networks, medical labs, and light industrial applications. The rack/tower convertible form factor supports flexible deployment in demanding infrastructure.

Replaces standby or line-interactive UPS

This unit upgrades installations that previously relied on standby or line-interactive topology where power quality is unstable. The jump is worth it when equipment requires extremely tight output voltage regulation, frequency regulation, and a very wide input voltage window. Internal bypass and input power factor correction further isolate critical loads from utility anomalies.

Suits sites needing extended runtime

It suits operators who may configure matching battery packs to achieve runtime measured in hours rather than minutes. The integrated Network Management Card enables remote monitoring and unattended graceful shutdown via PowerChute software. Buyers who need only minutes of backup for non-critical loads or who cannot accommodate a rack/tower form factor should consider alternatives.

Questions about this item

What rack height does the 5000VA unit occupy?

The UPS is rack/tower convertible; models from 2U to 12U are available and the 5kVA version includes an integrated Network Management Card for remote management.

How do I set up the UPS for network monitoring?

The integrated Network Management Card is included on this 5kVA model; connect it to your LAN and use the supplied PowerChute software for unattended graceful shutdown of network operating systems.

How can I extend runtime beyond the internal batteries?

Matching external battery packs can be added to meet aggressive runtime demands; the UPS is designed to accept those packs for hours of backup instead of minutes.
