8MP panoramic coverage

The Arecont Vision AV8365DN is an 8 megapixel network camera that captures a full 360 degree panoramic view from a single dome. It is built for indoor or outdoor installations where wide-area situational awareness is required without deploying multiple fixed cameras. The unit carries an IP66 and IK-10 rating for vandal resistance.

Sustained compression and streaming

Dual encoder support for H.264 and M-JPEG allows the camera to maintain continuous recording while simultaneously serving live streams at different quality levels. Bit rate control keeps bandwidth predictable during extended operation, and multi-streaming lets a recorder and a viewing client pull independent feeds without overloading the sensor pipeline.

PoE and auxiliary power limits

Power can be supplied through Power over Ethernet or via an auxiliary input that accepts 12 to 48 volts DC and 24 volts AC. The RJ-45 video output carries both data and PoE on a single wired connection, so installation is limited to the reach of standard Ethernet cabling and the available power budget of the switch or injector.

Questions about this item

How much power does the AV8365DN draw when running continuously on PoE?

The camera accepts PoE and auxiliary power from 12 to 48V DC or 24V AC, so it can run all day from a standard PoE switch or a compatible low-voltage supply.

Which network recorder or software must I already have to record the AV8365DN streams?

The camera outputs H.264 and M-JPEG over an RJ-45 IP connection, so any NVR or VMS that supports those codecs and ONVIF Profile S can record it.

Will the AV8365DN mount on the same ceiling brackets I use for older fixed dome cameras?

It includes ceiling and wall mounting options with a 2-axis gimbal that provides 360° pan and 90° tilt, plus ±10° mechanical tilt adjustment for precise sensor alignment.
