Indoor dome camera with varifocal lens

The Arecont Vision D4S-AV2115DNv1-3312 is a 2.07 megapixel indoor IP dome camera built for fixed surveillance. It combines the camera, a two-axis gimbal and a 3.3-12mm IR-corrected varifocal lens in one ceiling or wall-mount housing. Day-night operation and automatic white balance suit general indoor monitoring where infrared illumination is not required.

Dual codec at 32 frames per second

H.264 and M-JPEG dual encoding runs at up to 32 fps, while casino mode locks the stream at 30 fps for regulatory compliance. Multi-streaming with flexible cropping and bit-rate control lets the recorder pull only the needed regions, saving bandwidth and storage. Extended motion grids and privacy masks reduce false alerts in busy areas.

Power over Ethernet and auxiliary input

The unit accepts PoE plus 12-48 VDC or 24 VAC auxiliary power through its RJ-45 video output. PSIA compliance aids integration with compliant recorders, yet the camera lacks built-in infrared, so low-light scenes need external lighting. Forensic zooming works within the optical zoom range, but detail drops once digital magnification exceeds the sensor resolution.

Questions about this item

Will the 3.3-12mm varifocal lens on this 2.07MP dome camera cover the same hallway width as my older fixed 4mm analog camera?

The 3.3-12mm varifocal lens lets you adjust the field of view after installation, so you can match or exceed the coverage of a fixed 4mm lens by zooming to the needed focal length.

How can I verify the camera is streaming at the full 32fps after I mount it?

Log into the web interface or your VMS and check the live stream info panel; it will report 32fps when the H.264 encoder is running at its maximum megapixel image rate.

Does the box include a PoE injector for the 12-48 VDC power input, or must I buy one separately?

The all-in-one indoor dome ships with the AV2115DNv1 camera, 2-axis gimbal, 3.3-12mm IR corrected lens and surface dome embedded; a PoE injector or 24 VAC supply is not included and must be sourced separately.
