VCI paper roll for metal protection

This ARMOR WRAP VCI paper roll is a corrosion-inhibiting packaging material designed to protect metal parts during storage and shipment. It comes as a two-pack of 600-foot brown rolls rated at 30 lb weight. The paper releases vapour-phase inhibitors that form an invisible layer on metal surfaces.

Suitable for industrial packing

Maintenance crews and shipping departments can wrap or interleave steel, iron and other ferrous components to prevent rust without oils or coatings. The product is not intended for non-metal goods, food contact or applications that require a moisture-barrier film rather than vapour corrosion inhibition.

30 lb basis weight defines coverage

The 30 lb rating determines how much area each roll covers and how well the paper resists tearing during hand wrapping or machine dispensing. Heavier or lighter grades would change both the protective lifespan and the handling characteristics for the same 600-foot length.

Questions about this item

How do I install the VCI paper roll and what step is often missed?

Unroll the 30 lb brown paper directly around metal parts so the coated side contacts the surface, then seal the package; the step often missed is confirming the coated side faces the metal.

What maintenance or replacement will the VCI paper need later?

Replace the paper when the roll is consumed or if it becomes torn, wet, or contaminated; no re-coating or recharging is possible.

What limit appears first during sustained use of the 600 ft roll?

The 600 ft length is the first limit; once the roll is fully dispensed, a new roll is required to continue protection.
