Micro-ATX server board for AMD EPYC 4004/4005 and Ryzen 7000/8000/9000 CPUs with four DDR5 ECC slots, one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and dual 1 GbE LAN
The EPYC4000D4U is a Micro-ATX server motherboard for Socket AM5 processors. It accepts one AMD EPYC 4004 series, EPYC 4005 series, or Ryzen 7000/8000/9000 series CPU with a thermal design power up to 170W. The board targets compact single-socket servers or workstations that need ECC memory and PCIe 5.0 expansion in a 9.6-inch square form factor.
Four DDR5 288-pin slots support up to 48GB of DDR5 5600 ECC or non-ECC UDIMM. Expansion includes one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, two MCIO connectors providing PCIe 5.0 x8 and dual x4 links, plus two M.2 M-key slots for 2280 or 2242 drives. Rear I/O supplies dual 1GbE via Intel I210, COM, D-Sub, DisplayPort, HDMI, and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports. Power input uses a 24-pin ATX plus dual 8-pin 12V connectors with 12V DC-in support.
Verify that your chosen CPU is from the supported EPYC 4004, EPYC 4005, or Ryzen 7000/8000/9000 series, as PCIe lane allocation changes with Ryzen 8000 Phoenix and Phoenix2 models. Confirm the chassis fits the 9.6 by 9.6 inch Micro-ATX footprint and can deliver adequate cooling for up to 170W TDP. Ensure the power supply provides both 8-pin 12V connectors or plan for the 12V DC-in alternative. Memory must be DDR5 UDIMM; other DDR generations will not fit.
