The ASRock Rack GENOAD8X-2T/BCM is an EEB form-factor board built around the Socket SP5 platform for AMD EPYC 9004 and 9005 series processors. It accepts one CPU with a thermal design power of up to 400W and provides eight DDR5 288-pin DIMM slots running at DDR5 4800. Onboard video uses an ASPEED AST2600 controller with 512MB DDR4 memory.

The slot layout delivers SLOT0 through SLOT6, with SLOT0, SLOT2, SLOT4 and SLOT6 offering PCIe 5.0 / CXL 2.0 x16 while SLOT1, SLOT3 and SLOT5 run PCIe 5.0 x16. SLOT7 operates at PCIe 5.0 x8 but drops to x4 when an MCIO is enabled. This density of high-bandwidth slots determines whether the board fits a given accelerator or storage topology.
