ASUS ROG Strix G16 G615JMR Gaming Laptop

The ASUS ROG Strix G16 G615JMR is a 16 inch Windows 11 Home gaming laptop built around an Intel Core i9 14900HX processor with 24 cores and 32 threads. It pairs that CPU with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card carrying 8 GB of GDDR7 video memory. The system ships with 128 GB of DDR5 memory and an 8 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD array configured as two 4 TB drives.

Factory upgrades and thermal work

HIDevolution performs the memory and storage installation before shipment and applies Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut on the CPU plus Gelid GC Extreme on the GPU. The laptop arrives with the latest stable BIOS and drivers installed and has passed burn-in stress testing, benchmark validation, keyboard and touchpad checks, port verification and a physical chassis inspection. No user assembly is required for the upgraded components.

Suited for heavy multitasking and large libraries

The 128 GB DDR5 capacity and 8 TB NVMe storage suit professionals who run memory hungry applications or keep massive game and media libraries on a single machine. Buyers who need a lighter chassis or a lower core count processor should evaluate alternative models. The 165 Hz WUXGA IPS-level display targets high refresh gaming rather than colour critical workflows.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the 165Hz WUXGA display and RTX 5060 are performing correctly after setup?

Run the ASUS GPU Tweak utility to confirm the RTX 5060 reports 8GB GDDR7 and the display panel shows 165Hz at 1920 x 1200; a stress test should hold the i9-14900HX near its 5.8 GHz turbo without thermal throttling.

What components are included and which must be purchased separately?

The box contains the Eclipse Gray G615JMR-DS94 laptop with Windows 11 Home, 128GB DDR5 5600MHz (2 x 64GB), 8TB NVMe storage (2 x 4TB), RTX 5060 8GB, and Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut plus Gelid GC Extreme already applied; no extra memory, storage or thermal paste is required.

Which configuration should I choose if I need the maximum factory-installed memory and storage?

This specific G615JMR-DS94-HID24 model already ships with the highest offered capacities — 128GB DDR5 in dual-channel and 8TB PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe across two 4TB modules — so no further capacity selection is needed.
