ROG Strix G16 G615JMR for gaming and heavy workloads

The 16-inch laptop pairs a 24-core Intel i9-14900HX with an NVIDIA RTX 5060 graphics card carrying 8 GB GDDR7. Sixteen GB of DDR5 5600 MHz memory and a 1 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD complete a platform aimed at creators and competitive players who need both CPU throughput and GPU acceleration in one chassis. Windows 11 Home ships pre-installed.

Sustained load behaviour

HIDevolution applies Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut on the CPU and Gelid GC Extreme on the GPU before shipping. The liquid-metal and high-conductivity pastes lower junction temperatures during long render or gaming sessions, letting the 5.8 GHz max turbo and the RTX 5060 hold higher clocks for longer without thermal throttling. A 165 Hz WUXGA IPS-level panel keeps motion clear while the system dissipates heat.

Professional build-to-order assembly and validation

As an authorised ASUS BTO dealer, the integrator performs a full quality cycle: latest stable BIOS and drivers, burn-in stress testing for temperature, benchmark verification, keyboard, touchpad, port and display checks, plus physical chassis inspection. The service adds a 2-5 working day lead time but reduces defect-on-arrival risk. Memory runs dual-channel at 5600 MHz subject to system capability.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the i9-14900HX and RTX 5060 get during all-day loads?

HIDevolution applies Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut on the CPU and Gelid GC Extreme on the GPU to lower temperatures under sustained workloads.

What must I already own for the G615JMR to work out of the box?

Windows 11 Home is pre-installed and the 16 GB DDR5 5600 MHz memory plus 1 TB PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD are already fitted, so no extra parts are required.

Can I keep using my older 1920 x 1200 60 Hz external monitor with this 165 Hz WUXGA panel?

Yes, the laptop drives external displays at their native 1920 x 1200 resolution while its own screen runs at 165 Hz.
