Built for high-refresh 16-inch gaming

The ASUS ROG Strix G16 G615JMR pairs a 24-core Intel Core i9-14900HX with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 8 GB GDDR7 GPU. A 165 Hz WUXGA IPS-level panel, 32 GB DDR5 5600 MHz memory and a 1 TB PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD complete the Windows 11 Home system.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Competitive gamers and content creators who want a 16-inch chassis with factory-applied Conductonaut and Gelid GC Extreme thermal compounds will benefit from the sustained clocks. Buyers needing a larger screen, higher resolution panel or different GPU tier should consider other models.

The spec that decides fit

The 165 Hz WUXGA display sets the resolution and refresh ceiling for the RTX 5060 8 GB GDDR7; if your workflow or games demand a different native resolution or refresh rate, this panel is the limiting factor.

Questions about this item

Does the 16 inch WUXGA panel at 165Hz suit competitive shooters and colour work alike?

The 1920 x 1200 IPS-level screen runs at 165 Hz, giving smooth motion for fast games while the WUXGA resolution keeps text sharp for creative tasks.

Will the 32 GB DDR5 5600 MHz memory handle heavy multitasking and future upgrades?

Two 16 GB modules run dual-channel at 5600 MHz, filling both slots for 32 GB total; adding more memory would require replacing the existing sticks.

How does the liquid-metal and Gelid GC Extreme thermal paste affect sustained performance?

Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut on the CPU and Gelid GC Extreme on the GPU lower core temperatures, helping the i9-14900HX and RTX 5060 maintain higher clocks during long sessions.
