16-inch WUXGA gaming laptop

The ASUS ROG Strix G16 G615JMR is a 16-inch Windows 11 Pro gaming laptop built around a 24-core Intel Core i9-14900HX processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card with 8 GB of GDDR7 video memory. It ships with 32 GB of DDR5 5600 MHz memory in dual-channel configuration and a 1 TB PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD. The IPS-level display runs at 165 Hz with a 1920 x 1200 resolution.

Sustained load thermal behaviour

HIDevolution applies Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut on the CPU and Gelid GC Extreme on the GPU as upgraded thermal interface materials. This customisation targets lower steady-state temperatures for both processors during extended gaming or rendering sessions. The vendor also performs burn-in stress testing and verifies the latest stable BIOS and drivers before shipment.

8 GB GDDR7 on the RTX 5060

The graphics card provides 8 GB of GDDR7 memory, which determines the texture and frame-buffer capacity available for modern titles at the native 1920 x 1200 resolution. Buyers needing more video memory for higher-resolution external displays or memory-intensive creative workloads should note this limit.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the i9-14900HX and RTX 5060 get during all-day gaming?

The laptop ships with Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut on the CPU and Gelid GC Extreme on the GPU, applied by the builder to lower peak temperatures and keep fan noise controlled under sustained load.

What must I already own to use the 1 TB PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD and 32 GB DDR5 5600 MHz memory?

Both the solid-state drive and the dual-channel memory kit are installed inside the chassis, so no extra storage or RAM modules are required to start working.

Will my older USB-A mouse and HDMI monitor work with the G615JMR-DS94?

The chassis includes standard USB-A ports and an HDMI output, so legacy peripherals and external displays connect without adapters.
