System identity

The ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 White Dhahab is a new gaming desktop PC built around an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card. It targets enthusiasts who want a pre-assembled system for high-refresh 1440p or 4K gaming without selecting individual components. The chassis includes a 360 mm liquid cooler and RGB lighting. Buyers who need a compact workstation or a silent office machine should look elsewhere.

Storage capacity and headroom

A 1 TB NVMe SSD provides fast boot and game-load speeds while a 2 TB SATA III HDD adds bulk capacity for media libraries and backups. The SSD handles the active title set comfortably; the HDD absorbs larger archives. Users who install many modern AAA games simultaneously will eventually fill the 1 TB primary drive and must manage space or add another NVMe module.

Deciding specification

The graphics card is a Dhahab GeForce RTX 5080 with 16 GB of GDDR7 memory on a PCI Express x16 interface. This GPU defines the system's rendering ceiling and VR readiness. If the target workload relies on compute acceleration or maximum ray-tracing performance at 4K, this card is the limiting factor; if the workload needs more video memory or a different GPU architecture, this desktop will not match the requirement.

Questions about this item

Will the AM5 socket on the Ryzen 7 9800X3D let me reuse my existing DDR5 memory kits?

The board provides four DDR5 slots and ships with 64 GB already installed, so any extra modules you add must also be DDR5 to match the memory controller.

How can I verify the 360 mm liquid cooler is keeping the 16-core CPU at safe temperatures once the PC is running?

Use the pre-installed ASUS monitoring software or the BIOS hardware monitor to watch the Ryzen 7 9800X3D core temps under load; they should stay well below the thermal limit with the 360 mm loop.

Does the system include the 1000 W power supply and Windows 11 licence, or do I need to buy them separately?

Both the 1000 W PSU and Windows 11 Home are factory-installed and activated, so nothing extra is required to start gaming.
