System overview

The ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 White Dhahab is a new gaming desktop PC built around an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 16-core processor running at 4.7GHz. It targets enthusiasts who want a pre-assembled Windows 11 machine with liquid cooling and RGB lighting ready for immediate play.

Sustained performance

A 360mm liquid cooler keeps the CPU and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card with 16GB GDDR7 memory stable during extended sessions. The 1000W power supply supports continuous high loads without throttling, while WiFi and RGB features remain active throughout heavy use.

Deciding specification

The single specification that decides fit is the 64GB DDR5 memory paired with a 2TB NVMe SSD plus a 2TB SATA III HDD. This capacity split suits creators who need fast project storage and bulk archives; buyers who want more storage or a different memory configuration should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the 360 mm liquid cooler keep the Ryzen 7 9800X3D when the system runs all day?

The 360 mm liquid cooler is designed to handle the 16-core 4.7 GHz Ryzen 7 9800X3D under sustained load, keeping temperatures lower and fan noise quieter than an equivalent air cooler would.

What peripherals must I already own to start using this desktop right away?

You will need a monitor, keyboard and mouse; the system ships with Windows 11 Home installed, Wi-Fi, RGB lighting and a 1000 W power supply, so no extra internal parts are required.

Can I keep my existing 2 TB SATA hard drive and install it alongside the factory 2 TB NVMe SSD and 2 TB HDD?

Yes, the motherboard provides additional SATA III ports, so your current SATA drive can be added next to the pre-installed 2 TB NVMe SSD and 2 TB HDD without removing either.
