System overview

The ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 is a new gaming desktop built around a 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X processor running at 4.3 GHz and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card with 12 GB of GDDR7 memory. It targets enthusiasts who want a ready-to-play machine for 4K gaming and heavy multitasking without assembling parts themselves.

Storage and cooling impact

A 4 TB NVMe SSD provides the primary volume for the operating system and active titles while a 2 TB SATA III hard drive adds bulk capacity for media archives. The factory-fitted 360 mm liquid cooler handles the CPU thermal load so the system sustains high frequencies during extended sessions without additional fan configuration.

Installation notes

The PC ships with Windows 11 Home pre-installed, tested and ready to use straight from the box. Buyers who need a smaller chassis, a lower-wattage power supply or a different GPU tier should look elsewhere because this configuration is fixed at 850 W and the Helios GX601 form factor.

Questions about this item

Will the 360mm liquid cooler need coolant replacement or pump service down the line?

The sealed 360mm liquid cooler is maintenance-free for its service life; no coolant top-ups or pump servicing are required.

What thermal limit appears first when the Ryzen 9 9950X runs at 4.3GHz base across all 16 cores for hours?

The CPU will hit its factory temperature ceiling and throttle clock speeds before the 850W power supply reaches its output limit.

How loud does the system get when the RTX 5070 and 16-core CPU are both fully loaded all day?

The 360mm radiator fans spin up to move heat from the liquid loop, producing a noticeable but not extreme airflow sound under sustained load.
