System Overview

The ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 is a white liquid-cooled gaming desktop built around a 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 9950X processor running at 4.3GHz. It pairs an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card with 12GB GDDR7 memory and 64GB DDR5 RAM. Storage combines a 1TB NVMe SSD with a 2TB SATA III HDD, powered by an 850W supply running Windows 11 Home.

Ideal Users and Limits

This system suits creators and gamers who need high multi-thread CPU performance and a modern GPU for 1440p or 4K play. Buyers who want more than 12GB of video memory or a higher-tier graphics card should look elsewhere. The fixed 850W power supply and proprietary chassis may limit future GPU upgrades. Component brands may vary from the listing images.

Deciding Specification

The GeForce RTX 5070 with 12GB GDDR7 memory is the single specification that determines whether this PC meets your workload. It defines the ceiling for texture-heavy games, ray-traced titles and GPU-accelerated creative tasks. If your applications demand more video memory or a faster GPU tier, this configuration will not satisfy that requirement.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 360mm liquid cooler in the GX601 case, and what step do builders often miss?

Mount the radiator to the top or front panel, then connect the pump header to the CPU_FAN socket so the BIOS sees the pump speed.

Which component in this system will need replacement first, and how do I match the spec?

The 850W power supply is the likeliest candidate; replace it with another ATX unit rated at or above 850W.

What thermal limit appears first on the Ryzen 9 9950X during long gaming sessions with the 360mm cooler?

The CPU will hit its 95°C junction ceiling and throttle clock speeds before the liquid loop saturates.
