ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 White Gaming Desktop

This ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 White system is a complete gaming desktop PC built around an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card. It arrives with Windows 11 Home installed and includes a 360mm liquid cooler for the CPU.

Suits 4K gaming and heavy multitasking.

The 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X at 4.3GHz combined with 64GB DDR5 memory and the RTX 5070 with 12GB GDDR7 handles 4K gaming, streaming and content creation simultaneously. The full-tower Helios chassis and 850W power supply require generous desk space, so buyers needing a small-form-factor PC should look elsewhere.

AM5 socket defines upgrade path

The motherboard uses the AMD AM5 socket, which determines which future Ryzen processors can be installed without changing the board. The four DDR5 slots are fully populated with 64GB, so any memory expansion means replacing existing modules.

Questions about this item

Does the PCI Express x16 slot run at Gen 4 or Gen 5 speeds for the RTX 5070?

The graphics interface is PCI Express x16; the CPU is an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X on the AM5 platform which supports Gen 5, so the RTX 5070 can operate at its full link width.

What case clearance is required for the 360 mm liquid cooler radiator and fans?

The system uses a 360 mm liquid cooler; ensure your space can accommodate a 360 mm radiator plus fan thickness, typically mounted at the top or front of the GX601 chassis.

Is Windows 11 Home pre-activated, or do I need to enter a key during the first boot?

Windows 11 Home ships pre-installed and pre-activated; complete the out-of-box experience, connect to the internet, and the licence will bind automatically without a manual key entry.
