ASUS VivoBook 15 S513 Ryzen 7 4700U Laptop

This ASUS VivoBook 15 S513 is a new 15.6-inch laptop powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 4700U eight-core processor with integrated Radeon graphics. It ships with 24GB of DDR4 memory and a 2TB SATA solid-state drive, running Windows 10 Home. The Full HD display and compact chassis suit everyday productivity and home entertainment.

Suits students and office workers needing ample

The 24GB DDR4 configuration and 2TB SATA SSD provide generous capacity for multitasking and large file libraries. Buyers who require a dedicated graphics card for intensive 3D work or gaming should consider other options. The non-touch screen and integrated graphics also limit appeal for creative professionals needing colour-accurate touch input or discrete GPU acceleration.

2TB SATA SSD determines upgrade path

The storage uses a SATA interface rather than a faster protocol, so sequential read and write speeds will reflect that standard. Anyone planning to replace the drive must select a compatible 2.5-inch or M.2 SATA unit; drives using other interfaces will not work. This single specification decides whether the laptop meets your performance and expandability needs.

Questions about this item

Can the 16 GB SODIMM DDR4 module be replaced with a larger stick later?

The 16 GB SODIMM DDR4 module is the only removable memory slot; the other 8 GB is soldered onboard and cannot be changed.

Will the 42 WHr battery or the 45 W power supply become the limiting factor during long workloads?

The 45 W power supply caps sustained performance, so the 42 WHr battery only matters when running unplugged.

How loud do the fans get and how hot does the chassis feel after hours of use?

The integrated AMD Radeon Graphics and 45 W adapter mean moderate heat and fan noise under continuous load.
