ASUS VivoBook 15 S513 for home and entertainment

The ASUS VivoBook 15 S513 is a new laptop built for home and entertainment use. It runs Windows 10 Pro on an AMD Ryzen 7 4700U 8-core processor with a base clock of 2.0 GHz and a turbo frequency of 4.10 GHz. The 15.6 inch Full HD display shows 1920 x 1080 resolution without touch input.

40GB DDR4 memory and 2TB SATA SSD capacity

The system ships with 40GB of DDR4 RAM configured as 8GB onboard plus a 32GB SODIMM module. A 2TB SATA SSD provides the sole storage volume with no hard drive installed. Integrated AMD Radeon graphics handle everyday visual tasks and media playback.

AMD Radeon integrated graphics constraint

The integrated AMD Radeon graphics share system memory and suit general productivity, streaming and light creative work. Buyers who need discrete GPU performance for modern gaming, 3D rendering or heavy video editing should look elsewhere. The 45W power supply and 42 WHr battery support mobile use within these limits.

Questions about this item

Will the 40GB DDR4 memory and 2TB SATA SSD work with my existing USB 3.1 Gen1 and USB 2.0 peripherals?

Yes, the laptop provides USB 3.1 Gen1, USB 3.1 Type-C Gen1 and two USB 2.0 ports, so current peripherals connect directly without adapters.

How can I confirm the Ryzen 7 4700U is running at its 4.10 GHz turbo frequency under load?

Open Task Manager's Performance tab or a monitoring tool such as HWMonitor while running a demanding task; the CPU clock should rise toward 4.10 GHz when thermals allow.

Does the box include the 45W power supply and are any cables or adapters missing for the HDMI and SD card reader ports?

The 45W power supply is included; HDMI and SD card reader need only standard cables or cards, which are not supplied.
