Ready for multitasking

The ASUS VivoBook 15 S513 combines a Ryzen 7 4700U eight-core processor with 40GB of DDR4 memory. It targets students, remote workers and home users who run many browser tabs, office suites and media apps at once. The 15.6 inch Full HD panel and integrated Radeon graphics handle everyday visual tasks without a discrete GPU.

Capacity and headroom

The 2TB NVMe SSD stores large project libraries, photo collections and offline media with room to spare. 40GB of RAM keeps heavy multitasking smooth, though the 8GB soldered portion cannot be upgraded later. Integrated graphics and a 42Wh battery limit sustained gaming or video rendering sessions.

Build integration

A 45W adapter charges the three-cell battery over the USB Type-C Gen1 port. Video output runs through HDMI, while USB 3.1 Gen1, two USB 2.0 ports and an SD reader cover peripherals. Fingerprint login, a 720p webcam and a backlit keyboard complete the package for mobile productivity.

Questions about this item

Will the USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-C port on the VivoBook 15 S513 run my older USB 2.0 peripherals without an adapter?

Yes, the USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-C port is backward compatible with USB 2.0 devices; you only need a Type-C to Type-A cable or hub to connect them.

How can I verify the 40GB DDR4 configuration (8GB onboard plus 32GB SODIMM) is recognised after first boot?

Open Task Manager, select the Performance tab, choose Memory and confirm the total shows 40GB with two slots populated — one soldered, one removable.

Does the box include a USB-C charger or do I need to buy one separately for the 45W supply?

The 45W barrel-tip power adapter ships in the box; no separate USB-C charger is required or included.
