What this laptop does

The ASUS VivoBook 15 S513 is a 15.6 inch Windows 10 Home notebook built around an 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 4700U processor with a 4.10 GHz boost clock. Integrated AMD Radeon graphics handle everyday visuals. It targets students, office workers and home users who want a responsive system for web browsing, document editing, video streaming and light multitasking without discrete GPU demands.

Memory and storage access

The 12GB DDR4 layout combines 8GB soldered to the board with a single 4GB SO-DIMM slot. Adding more memory means replacing the removable stick; the fixed portion cannot be changed. The 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD sits in an M.2 slot. Swapping it is straightforward, but the laptop ships with no secondary drive bay, so total capacity stays at one drive unless you clone to a larger unit.

Capacity and limits

The 1TB NVMe drive holds a large personal library of documents, photos and installed applications with room to spare. The 12GB RAM ceiling covers typical office suites, dozens of browser tabs and moderate creative workloads. Heavy video editing, virtual machines or modern gaming will exhaust both memory headroom and the integrated graphics budget, so buyers needing those workloads should look elsewhere.
