Convertible 2-in-1 design

The ASUS VivoBook Flip 14 is a 14.0 inch touchscreen laptop that folds into tablet mode for flexible use. It runs Windows 10 Pro on an 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 4700U processor with 12GB DDR4 memory and a 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD. Integrated AMD Radeon graphics handle everyday visual tasks without a discrete card.

Thermals and power

A 45W power supply charges the 3-cell 42 WHr battery during normal workloads. The integrated graphics and 8-core processor share the thermal solution inside the convertible chassis. Fan noise stays low during office work, web browsing and media playback on the Full HD display.

Build integration

One USB 3.2 Type-C Gen2 port, one HDMI output, one USB 2.0 port and an SD card reader provide essential connectivity. The 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 handle wireless links. A backlit keyboard, fingerprint reader, integrated webcam and included active pen support secure login and creative input without extra peripherals.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Active Pen and what step is often missed?

Pair the Active Pen via Bluetooth 4.2 in Windows 10 Pro settings, then calibrate the 14.0" 1920x1080 touchscreen; many users skip the calibration step.

What maintenance will the 42 WHr battery need later?

The 3-cell 42 WHr battery is internal; plan for professional replacement when runtime drops below your needs, as it is not user-serviceable.

What limit appears first during sustained loads on the Ryzen 7 4700U?

The 45W power supply and integrated AMD Radeon Graphics thermal envelope will throttle the 8-core 2.0 GHz processor before the 12GB DDR4 or 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD become bottlenecks.
