14-inch touchscreen convertible laptop

This new ASUS VivoBook Flip 14 TM420IA-DB71T is a 2-in-1 device with a 14.0-inch Full HD touchscreen running Windows 10 Home. It suits users who want a portable convertible for everyday computing and entertainment.

Suits mobile workers and students needing pen input

The integrated AMD Radeon graphics and 8GB of DDR4 memory limit heavy gaming or professional video editing. Buyers who need discrete graphics, more than 8GB of RAM or a larger display should look at other form factors.

512GB PCIe NVMe SSD storage

The single solid-state drive provides 512GB of capacity for the operating system, applications and files. Users requiring additional internal storage or a secondary drive bay will need an external solution.

Questions about this item

How does the 4.1 GHz turbo speed behave when the 8-core Ryzen 7 4700U is inside this 14.0" convertible chassis?

The 4.1 GHz boost is available on single-core workloads; sustained multi-core speeds will settle lower because the 45 W adapter and 42 Wh battery limit thermal headroom in the thin 2-in-1 body.

What does the USB 3.2 Type-C Gen2 port actually deliver for data and video?

The Gen2 Type-C runs at 10 Gbit/s for data and carries DisplayPort alt-mode so you can drive an external monitor while still using the port for storage or docks.

Will the 512 GB PCIe NVMe SSD fit a standard M.2 2280 slot if I want to add a second drive later?

The factory drive uses an M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe module; the board has only one M.2 slot, so a second drive cannot be added without replacing the original.
