17.3-inch FHD IPS laptop with Core i5-1035G1

The ASUS VivoBook S712JA-WH54 is a new 17.3-inch laptop built around a 10th Generation Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor with four cores and a 3.6 GHz turbo frequency. It comes with 8GB of DDR4 memory in a mixed onboard and SODIMM layout and a 2TB SATA SSD for storage. Windows 11 Home 64-bit is pre-installed.

Suited for office work and media on a large screen

The 1920 x 1080 IPS panel at 60 Hz and integrated Intel UHD Graphics handle documents, web browsing and video playback comfortably. Buyers who need discrete graphics for rendering, gaming or GPU-accelerated workloads should look elsewhere. The single USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C port and two USB 2.0 ports may also limit users with many high-speed peripherals.

2TB SATA SSD and 8GB DDR4 memory

Storage uses a 2TB SATA SSD, providing a large capacity for files and applications. System memory is 8GB of DDR4 split between 4GB soldered and a 4GB SODIMM module. These two specifications define the upgrade ceiling for storage speed and RAM capacity.

Questions about this item

Will the USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C port work with my older USB 2.0 flash drives?

Yes, the USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C port is backward compatible with USB 2.0 devices, so your existing flash drives will function normally when connected with an appropriate adapter or cable.

How can I verify the Intel UHD Graphics are active after setting up Windows 11 Home?

Open Device Manager and expand Display adapters; you should see Intel UHD Graphics listed as the active graphics device with no error icons.

Does the box include a Micro SD card or do I need to buy one separately?

The laptop includes a Micro SD card reader slot, but a Micro SD card itself is not supplied and must be purchased separately if you need additional removable storage.
