17.3" FHD IPS laptop for everyday work

The ASUS VivoBook S712JA-WH54 is a 17.3 inch Full HD IPS laptop powered by a 10th Gen Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor with four cores and a 3.6 GHz turbo frequency. It comes with 20GB DDR4 memory configured as 4GB onboard plus a 16GB SODIMM module and a 2TB SATA SSD for storage. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed.

Suits office users needing a large screen

This laptop suits professionals and students who want a spacious 1920 x 1080 display for multitasking, a fingerprint reader for quick sign-in, and a full-size backlit keyboard with numeric keypad. Wi-Fi 6 AX201 and Bluetooth 5.1 handle wireless connectivity. Buyers who need dedicated graphics for rendering or gaming, a touchscreen, or a lighter chassis for daily travel should look at other models.

Integrated Intel UHD graphics defines visual

The only graphics option is the integrated Intel UHD GPU, which handles desktop video playback and light creative tasks but cannot accelerate modern 3D workloads or high-refresh gaming. If your workflow requires a discrete GPU, this configuration will not meet that need.

Questions about this item

What does the 3.6 GHz turbo speed mean for everyday workloads on this i5-1035G1?

The processor can lift to 3.6 GHz on active cores for short bursts, helping snappy response in web browsing, office apps and light multitasking before thermal limits bring clocks back toward the 1.00 GHz base.

What does the USB 3.2 Type-C Gen1 port actually support on this model?

The Type-C connector runs at USB 3.2 Gen1 5 Gbps for data only; it does not carry video or charging, so external displays must use the HDMI port instead.
