It targets system builders and server operators who need hot-swap capability without a full drive cage. An all-aluminium frame with conductive dissipation grooves and an included 80mm fan provides active cooling for continuous operation. The safety triangle lock secures each drive during insertion and removal.

SATA and SAS Interface Limits

The backplane supports SATA at up to 3 Gb/s and SAS at up to 6 Gb/s, so drive throughput is capped by those link speeds rather than the drive’s own maximum. RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 are handled by the host controller; the backplane itself performs no RAID processing. Power is supplied through either a Molex 4-pin or SATA 15-pin connector, and a sensor with audible alarm alerts the operator to fan failure or over-temperature conditions.

Single-Drive Capacity and Headroom

The unit accommodates one drive up to 1 TB, making it suited for boot volumes, small databases or backup targets that fit within that limit.
