What this cable connects

The AUBEAMTO T001A is a Toslink digital optical audio cable with male-to-male connectors. It links devices that have a digital optical S/PDIF port such as sound bars, televisions, game consoles and home-theatre receivers. The 16 ft length gives flexibility for typical living-room layouts.

Supported audio formats and reach

The fibre core carries uncompressed PCM and compressed 5.1 to 7.1 surround signals including Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD and ADAT. Optical transmission avoids electrical interference, so the 16 ft run stays clean. It does not carry higher-bandwidth formats such as Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD Master Audio.

Build materials and daily handling

Connectors are 24k gold-plated to resist tarnish and maintain conductivity. A double braided nylon jacket protects the 2.2/5.0 mm cable from kinks and abrasion. The square Toslink plugs insert with a positive click but cannot be locked, so they may loosen if equipment is moved frequently.

Questions about this item

Will the 16 ft length reach my soundbar if my TV and AV rack are far apart?

The cable measures 16 ft end to end, giving plenty of slack for most living-room layouts.

How can I confirm the 24k gold-plated Toslink connectors are passing a clean signal?

Select PCM or Dolby Digital Plus on the source; if the receiver locks and shows 5.1 or 7.1 channels without dropouts, the link is working.

Does the box include anything besides the black and gold Toslink cable itself?

Only the male-to-male optical cable is supplied; no adapters, caps or mounting hardware are included.
