Cable type and purpose

This AUTYUE Cat 8 Ethernet cable is a 6.6 ft flat patch cord with RJ45 connectors on both ends. It uses four shielded twisted pairs of copper wire (SSTP) and a double braided nylon jacket to resist interference and wear. Gold-plated contacts on the connectors aim to reduce signal loss.

Who it suits and who it does not

The flat profile lets installers run the cable under carpets or along baseboards where round cables would be visible. Builders who need a cable that survives repeated bending can rely on the rated 10 thousand bend cycles. Buyers who require longer runs or in-wall rated jackets should look at something else.

Deciding specification

The cable is rated for 2000 MHz bandwidth and supports data rates up to 40 Gbps. This single figure determines whether the link can handle the throughput demanded by the connected network equipment.
