Dual-monitor KVM for two computers

The AUTYUE DP KVM Switch lets two computers share two DisplayPort monitors, a keyboard, a mouse and up to four USB 3.0 peripherals. It targets users who need simultaneous dual-screen output from either system without unplugging cables. Each computer must provide two DisplayPort 1.4 outputs and one USB 3.0 port for the link to work.

Driver-free setup with two switching methods

The unit is plug-and-play on Windows and Mac OS and requires no software installation. Switching is done by front-panel push buttons or the supplied wired remote; hotkey switching is not supported. Each computer needs two DP cables plus one USB cable connected, and the external 12 V power adapter should be used if USB device detection becomes unstable. Bluetooth keyboards and mice are discouraged because of inherent latency.

8K30 and 4K144 via DisplayPort 1.4

The decisive specification is the video bandwidth: the switch passes up to 8K at 30 Hz and 4K at 144 Hz over DP 1.4, with backward compatibility to DP 1.2. If your graphics cards and monitors support those modes, the KVM will transmit them; otherwise the maximum resolution will be limited by the weakest link in the chain.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the KVM is passing 8K@30Hz or 4K@144Hz correctly after connecting both monitors?

Check each monitor's on-screen display or Windows display settings to confirm the active resolution and refresh rate match 8K@30Hz or 4K@144Hz; the LED indicators on the switch show which computer is currently selected.

What cables and accessories are included, and what must I provide myself?

The box contains the KVM switch, two USB 3.0 cables, a 12V power cable, a wired remote control, and a user manual; you must supply four DisplayPort 1.4 cables (two per computer) to connect both monitors and both PCs.

Which DisplayPort version should my graphics cards and monitors support for the highest listed resolution?

For 8K@30Hz or 4K@144Hz you need DisplayPort 1.4 on both the source and the display; the switch is backward compatible with DP 1.2 for lower resolutions.
