Connects 2.5 and 3.5 SATA drives via USB 3.0 with 12V power for data recovery and backups
This SATA III to USB 3.0 adapter connects 2.5 inch SSDs or HDDs and 3.5 inch HDDs to a computer or laptop. It helps expand drive space, upgrade systems, back up files and retrieve data from older drives. The package includes the adapter and a 12V power adapter for desktop drives. It does not support IDE parallel port interfaces.
The adapter draws power from the host USB port for 2.5 inch drives and uses the included DC 12V supply for 3.5 inch drives. The computer USB interface provides voltage isolation for low loss and anti-interference operation. High hardness ABS housing and a high-performance chip ensure durable, stable connections without active cooling noise.
This cable replaces bulky docking stations when you only need temporary access to bare SATA drives. The jump is worth it for technicians recovering data, users cloning a single drive or anyone adding external storage without a permanent enclosure. It supports drives up to 8TB and works with Windows, Mac OS and Linux.

Connect the drive to the adapter, then plug in the 12V power adapter, and finally insert the USB 3.0 connector into the host. The 12V supply must be attached before the USB link or the 3.5-inch drive will not spin up.
No routine maintenance is required. If the USB 3.0 cable or the 12V power adapter becomes damaged, replace only the affected accessory; the SATA bridge board itself has no serviceable parts.
Sustained throughput is capped by the USB 3.0 interface at 5 Gbps theoretical maximum; real-world speeds will be lower and may also be constrained by the connected SATA drive’s own sequential rating.
