IP PTZ Camera Controller

The AVer Information CL01 controls IP PTZ cameras over a network connection. It is designed for security operators who manage pan tilt zoom functions from a central station. The unit suits installations that require direct camera manipulation without a software client.

Thermals noise and power

The controller operates with low power draw and produces minimal heat during normal use. It runs silently with no moving parts or active cooling. The compact design allows placement on a desk or in a rack without thermal concerns.

Questions about this item

How is the CL01 IP PTZ camera controller installed and what step is often missed?

Connect the controller to the network switch using an Ethernet cable, assign it a static IP address on the same subnet as the PTZ cameras, then log into the web interface to bind each camera by its IP address; the step often missed is configuring the correct protocol and baud rate for analog cameras connected via encoders.

What maintenance or replacement will the CL01 controller need later?

The controller has no moving parts; maintenance is limited to occasional firmware updates through the web interface and cleaning the LCD screen and joystick with a dry cloth; if the power supply fails, replace it with a unit matching the original voltage and current ratings.
