Clear self-adhesive tabs for document indexing

These Avery 16230 tabs attach permanently to pages so you can locate sections quickly in files and catalogs. Each clear tab accepts a printable insert that works with laser and inkjet printers using free Avery Design & Print templates. Handwritten inserts are also an option. The pack contains 25 tabs in a 1/5-cut format.

Permanent adhesive holds through repeated handling

The self-adhesive backing is designed to stay fixed on paper during frequent flipping and transport. Clear tabs keep printed or handwritten labels legible without obscuring page content. Inserts slide in and out for updates while the tab itself remains in place. Performance is consistent across standard office temperatures and humidity.

Replaces loose sticky notes

This pack upgrades informal marking methods that fall off or smear over time. It suits professionals who regularly reference large binders, manuals, or project files and need durable, reusable index points. Buyers who want pre-printed tabs or tabs larger than 1 1/2 inches will need a different product.

Questions about this item

Will the permanent adhesive on these tabs hold up if I leave the binder in a warm office all day?

The permanent adhesive is designed to keep the tabs firmly attached to pages during regular daily use in typical office conditions.

Do I need an Avery laser or inkjet printer to use the printable inserts, or will any home printer work?

The inserts are compatible with standard laser and inkjet printers; you can use the free Avery Design & Print templates with most home or office printers.

Can I stick these clear 1/5-cut tabs onto older hanging folders that already have worn tab slots?

Yes, the self-adhesive backing bonds directly to the folder surface, so they work even when the original tab slots are damaged or missing.
