H6A 6MP Outdoor Dome Camera

The Avigilon H6A dome camera delivers 6MP resolution through a 1/2.8 CMOS sensor for detailed network video surveillance. A 4.4-9.3mm varifocal lens provides 2.1x optical zoom to adjust the field of view after installation. The wired IP connection integrates directly into existing network security infrastructure.

Installers needing motorised zoom for outdoor

This unit suits installers who require remote focal-length adjustment on a weather-rated dome. Buyers who need a fixed-lens camera to reduce cost or complexity should consider other models. Those requiring wireless connectivity or a different sensor format will need an alternative product.

4.4-9.3mm varifocal lens with 2.1x optical zoom

The varifocal range lets you narrow or widen the view without swapping hardware on site. Optical zoom maintains the full 6MP pixel count across the range. Verify that the 4.4-9.3mm focal span matches the distance and coverage required for your mounting position.

Questions about this item

How much area can the 6.0MP sensor cover when the 4.4-9.3mm lens is zoomed wide?

At 4.4mm the 1/2.8 CMOS captures a broad field of view suitable for open yards or car parks, while the 2.1x optical zoom narrows the scene for detail at distance.

What network connection does the IP dome use and what practical limits apply?

A single wired Ethernet port carries video and power; cable category and PoE budget dictate the real-world distance and bandwidth ceiling.

What mounting hardware or clearances does the outdoor dome require?

The housing is built for surface or pendant mounting on walls and soffits; allow space for the dome bubble to rotate and for cable entry at the base.
