Indoor dome camera with varifocal lens

The Avigo 1.3C-H5SL-D1-IR is a 1.3MP indoor IP dome camera built for fixed surveillance positions. Its 3.0mm to 9.0mm varifocal lens lets installers adjust the field of view during setup. The 1/2.8 inch CMOS sensor captures video at 1.3 megapixels using H.264, MJPEG or H.265 compression.

Suited for indoor sites needing adjustable coverage

This unit fits retail floors, offices or hallways where the viewing angle must be tuned after mounting. It does not carry an outdoor rating, so it cannot be used in exposed or wet locations. Buyers who need weatherproof housings should look at a different model.

Varifocal range of 3.0mm to 9.0mm

The adjustable focal length is the single specification that decides whether this camera matches the scene. A shorter focal length gives a wider overview; a longer setting narrows the view for detail at distance. Choose this part only when that flexibility is required.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 1.3MP sensor generate during continuous recording?

The 1.3MP CMOS imager runs on standard PoE power, so heat output stays low enough for the indoor dome enclosure without active cooling.

What network infrastructure must I already have for this IP dome camera?

You need a PoE-capable switch or injector and an NVR or VMS that accepts H.264, H.265 or MJPEG streams.

Will the 3.0-9.0mm varifocal lens cover the same field of view as my older fixed 4mm cameras?

The adjustable 3.0mm to 9.0mm focal range lets you match or exceed a 4mm view by zooming wider or narrower as needed.
