Core Extender Kit

The AVPro Edge AC-EX70-UHD-BKT is a basic 4K extender kit designed for stable long-distance HDMI distribution. It suits installers who need to run 1080p signals up to 70 meters or 4K signals up to 40 meters over standard CAT-6a cable using HDBaseT technology. This kit targets commercial and residential projects that require reliable 4K UHD content delivery from a rack to a display without advanced HDR or Dolby requirements.

Signal Range and Cable

The extender passes 1080p HDMI signals up to 70 meters and 4K HDMI signals up to 40 meters over readily available CAT-6a cable. HDBaseT technology provides a stable link for high-value 4K UHD content distribution across these distances. Normal use keeps the signal intact without the need for specialised cabling or additional signal boosters within the stated ranges.

HDR and Dolby Limitations

This basic kit has limited HDR and Dolby support, so it does not meet the needs of installations requiring full high dynamic range or advanced audio pass-through. Buyers who want those features must choose the 444 line or the AC-EX70-UHD-KIT instead. The bundled hardware delivers core 4K extension only.

Questions about this item

How do I install the AC-EX70-UHD-BKT kit and what step is often missed?

Connect the transmitter to the source, the receiver to the display, and link both with a single CAT-6a cable; the step often missed is verifying the cable is solid-core CAT-6a rated for the full 70 metre 1080p or 40 metre 4K run.

What maintenance or replacement will the extender need later?

The solid-state transmitter and receiver units have no moving parts or user-serviceable components; only the CAT-6a patch cable may need replacement if it is damaged or re-routed.

What limit appears first during sustained 4K transmission?

The 40 metre distance ceiling for 4K signals is reached before the 70 metre 1080p limit, so cable runs beyond 40 metres will drop to 1080p or lose sync.
