Direct Attach Cable Pack

The Axiom 10G-SFPP-TWX-0308-AX pack contains eight SFP+ to SFP+ direct attach cables. Each active twinaxial cable spans 10 ft and is suited for short-reach 10 GbE links inside server racks. Network engineers and data-centre technicians use these packs to wire top-of-rack switches to servers in a single purchase.

Active Twinaxial Reach Limit

Active twinaxial cables extend the reliable distance of a direct attach link beyond passive copper limits. The 10 ft length fits typical rack-row spacing without signal degradation. Installations that need longer runs or fibre-grade immunity must choose optical transceivers and patch cords instead.

Replaces Loose Cable Orders

Buying the eight-pack replaces multiple single-cable orders and reduces part-number tracking. The jump is worth it when a rack build or refresh requires several identical 10 ft links at once. Buyers who need mixed lengths or only one or two cables should order individually.

Questions about this item

Should I buy the 10 ft active twinaxial cables or look for a different length for my rack?

The 10 ft length suits typical rack-to-rack runs and the active design maintains signal integrity across that distance.

What does the 10 ft active twinaxial rating mean when the cable is installed between two switches?

It supports 10 Gbps links over the full 10 ft without the signal loss seen on longer passive cables.

How does the SFP+ interface on these cables affect the maximum link distance in my setup?

The SFP+ connectors limit each link to the cable's 10 ft length, so plan rack spacing accordingly.
