Axiom 10GBase-CU SFP+ Cable 33 ft

This Axiom CBL-10GSFP-DAC-10M-AX is a 10GBase-CU direct attach cable built with twinaxial conductors. It terminates in SFP+ connectors on both ends and spans 33 ft. The passive design draws no power and requires no active electronics. It provides a straightforward link for 10 Gigabit Ethernet or compatible storage fabrics between equipped switches, servers or storage arrays.

Suits short 10G links between SFP+ ports

Network teams needing a 33 ft passive twin-axial run between two SFP+ sockets can deploy this cable immediately. It is not suited for connections that require active signal conditioning or optical transmission. Buyers who need longer reach, active equalisation or a different connector type should look at alternative cable assemblies.

Questions about this item

Does the passive twinaxial cable generate any heat during continuous 10 Gbps operation?

The passive design draws no power of its own, so it adds no measurable heat to the rack while running at 10 Gbps all day.

Which ports must my equipment already have to use this SFP+ to SFP+ direct attach cable?

Both ends need an SFP+ port that supports 10GBase-CU twinaxial links; the cable plugs directly into those ports.
